Good toy Mar 03, 2010 18 month old likes this toy, putting spacemen in moon buggy (which really rolls well - and far), the dog into the compartment. There are only 2 audios, "5-1 we have liftoff" and a beeping sound, both of which go off when you push the red button. Only complaint is that the lower door can be easily pulled off, same with the top door (but both can be snapped back on).
Toy Spaceship Feb 16, 2010 My 4 year old niece wanted this. I chose this brand over another. It is generally a good toy and has a side handle. However, the doors seem to pop off easily and a young child cannot figure out how to put back on.
A Lot of Fun Feb 11, 2010 Bought as a Christmas present, this toy has been a hit with both of my boys. One thing that bugged me at first was that the doors come off pretty easily, then I began to see it as a benefit when the boys would be running with it and trip and fall. If the doors didn't pop off relatively easily, there could be a problem with them causing injuries. The doors slip easily right back into place. The only beef I have with the product is the tires on the moon buggy. My 20 month old was able to pick little pieces off of the rubber tires creating a choking hazard, so needless to say, the moon buggy isn't part of playtime anymore. Overall a good product though!
We're getting our money's worth... Feb 09, 2010 I thought this toy was a little overpriced, but my kid is into astronauts and outer space big time, so I went ahead and got this for Christmas. (The price does fluctuate on this site, so wait to see how low you can get it). Anyway, my kid opened it up with a bunch of cousins, and it got played with by both girls and boys ages 18 months to 7. It was by far the most wanted toy. We've had it for a couple of months and it still gets consistent play. The 2 astronauts, the space dog, and alien are appealing and often cross over to other playsets. The mooncrater and little vehicle do not get a lot of use though. The doors pop off a lot, but they are easy to put back on. It's a bother sometimes, but not enough to get in the way of the toy's positives.
Fun but a little flimsy... Feb 06, 2010 My son loves this rocket. The accesories and sounds are great. However, the bottom "hatch" door comes off really easily and the top 2 are a little tricky to open. Otherwise, it's a colorful, fun, imaginative toy.
